What do I need to do before I can learn to drive?

 

Before you learn to drive you need a provisional licence

 

How many lessons will I need?

 

Some people learn the skill of driving quicker than others. The instructor will assess how you are doing and will tell you when he thinks the time is right for you to apply for your driving test.

 

Will the instructor expect me to know the basics of driving a car before I start a lesson?

 

No. The instructor is a professional qualified teacher and will teach you all you need to know.

 

Do I need to pass my theory test before I begin to drive?

 

No, you can learn the theory whilst learning to drive as it will make it easier to understand.

 

Does A & M provide theory help?

 

Yes, there is full theory test support.

 

Where do I take my theory test?

 

At your local theory test centre. You will be advised by your instructor of the nearest one.

 

Am I still asked theory questions at the end of my driving test?

 

No, they are completely seperate tests

 

Once I pass my test are there any other courses I should take if I so wish?

 

You may require extra training to give you more skills such as motorway basics. You should also consider Pass Plus.
